Power of Siberia gas trunkline will transmit gas from Irkutsk and Yakutsk gas production centers to Russian communities at Far East and China (‘eastern’ way). Kovyktinskoye and Chayandinskoye fields will become a resource base.
In 2014 Gazprom and Chinese national Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed a purchase agreement for 30 years. In the same year construction of the first section of Chayandinskoye field in Yakutia and Blagoveschensk (on the border of China) began.
Stroygazconsulting joined the construction two years later after winning the contest for pipeline construction with total length of 413 km. The first section is located between Olekminskaya and Amginskaya compressor stations, the second one goes to Nimnyrskaya compressor station.
