Initial reserves are estimated at 163 billion cubic meters of gas and 19 million tons of gas condensate. It is situated in limits of Kirinsk area, which is a part of Sakhalin gas production center and is developed as part of Sakhalin-3 project. Gas comes from here to gas transmission system Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok.

In October 2013 the first gas launch took place at Kirinskoye gas and condensate field, a year later industrial production was started. Construction of producing wells is currently continuing at the field.

In 2011-2013 SGC had constructed onshore production facility, which included gas processing plant. In future it will be able to receive gas from all fields of Sakhalin-3 project. The construction is fulfilled considering earthquake activities of the region and can withstand earthquakes of up to 9 intensity.
